The right coach for you?

The most important thing with coaching is the relationship.

Specific tools or approaches can work well in some situations and not others. Having a coach from a similar professional background to you can be useful, but might also narrow the focus too much.

I have therefore tried to be quite open, and “myself” on this website to help give you a sense of whether you might want to work with me. The best way to know for sure if we want to work together is for you to book a free 30-minute introductory chat via the button above.

The basis of my approach is curiosity. Curious about you, particularly if you say something that sounds “interesting” (which may suggest a barrier you have not fully explored yet). And curious about the best way of coaching you that will help you to get what you want from our sessions.

I think it is important that my curiosity comes without any expectations – you don’t need to know what it is you need, or how you like to be coached: we can work that out together. Or you may have an idea which evolves over time.

At the same time, it is important to be purposeful in our conversation, so that we know that we are moving in the right direction, in a way that works for you.
